How to Hold a Tarantula: Handling the Internet before it Bites – March 5th

Who would want to hold a tarantula? Seriously, what “normal” “sane” person would willingly touch a spider that big? As crazy as it may seem, some people love spiders, invite them into their homes and know how to handle them responsibly. “That may be true,” you are thinking, “but there is NO WAY I will ever allow a tarantula in my house!”
We understand, but let’s play a game for a second. Imagine we lived in an “everybody must own a tarantula” world. Pretend you have no choice but to allow this potentially dangerous critter into your home.
How would you handle it?
How would you teach your kids to handle it?
Would you be afraid?
We are hosting a forum at Envision Church called “How To Hold a Tarantula: Handling the Internet Before It Bites.” During our time together, we will address the magnificent wonder of the internet along with its dangers to marriages, families and individuals. The far-reaching influence of cyberspace is in our homes, at our workplaces, in our cars, on our phones…it’s everywhere. Therefore, we must learn to handle the internet before it bites. Our reason for creating this forum is very simple—we have come to believe that the internet is the single greatest danger to a healthy family. But with strong boundaries and some great new tools, the digital world can be allowed into our homes without fear of its dangers.
Join us on Sunday, March 5th from 12:30-2pm in the Main Auditorium at Envision Church to learn about what can be done to safeguard your hearts and your homes.
